A Quick Explainer

Attachment Styles, Briefly

Attachment style describes the patterns we develop early on for staying close to the people we depend on, patterns that carry into how we handle closeness, conflict, and reassurance as adults. Anxious attachment is one of the more common patterns, and it's the one I work with most.

How I Work

A few things that shape my approach

Experience, not just analysis

Change registers in the body, not only in how you describe yourself. We slow down enough to find what a reaction is asking for.

Where the pattern came from

Understanding the origin of a pattern makes it easier to work with, not to assign blame, but because it changes how we approach it.

Your patterns made sense once

Protective habits developed for a reason. We look at what they were protecting and build other ways to meet that same need.
